I love adding Lantana to our garden in late spring. This is such a hardy, drought tolerant plant that literally blooms all summer and into the fall. They come in a variation of colors but will change with the PH level in the soil. We used them in our flower beds in Florida. They were perennials and after one full season would end up blooming purple. Here in Virginia they are annuals, but are an effortless pop of color. I like to use these fiery red and orange combos because the colors transitions beautifully from summer right into autumn.
One of the benefits of growing flowers is having fresh cut blooms to add throughput your home, too. 🏡 I was playing around in our gardens and thought I give these a test and see how long they would last in a vase. I starting to think Lantana are overlooked for vase additions! To my surprise they have been a lovely addition! The way Lantana grow and produce clusters of flowers works great in short vases. These flowers can brighten up any spot! Plus, with the abundance of blooms you’ll have plenty for both indoors and in you gardens! 💛🏵️💛Just thought I’d share my new found love for adding a touch of lantana indoors, too 💛💛
