We’re having a little get together for tonight’s game and needed a few quick appetizers! Sorry I didn’t get to share this in advance, but I just made it up about an hour before family started arriving. They turned out great and not a single one was left. These meatball footballs are just a classic meatball made fun! You can use any recipe you’d like. For this to kept it fast and simple and used a small amount of a seasoning packet and some spices I already had. Here they are coming together! 🏈🏈
- Start by making your meatball mix. I used a combo of spice and a bit of this the seasoning packet.
- Next roll out your meatballs and then lightly shape them into an oval shape.
- Bake them up!
- As soon as they come out of the oven garnish with strips of mozzarella cheese for the football laces.
**They don’t look good at the moment because the cheese is starting to melt. The head from the meatball will help melt the cheese and hold it in place. 🙂
- Time to plate and enjoy! I served them with some veggies and dip!
They were too cute and super simple and definitely a win for game day! 😀🏈
