Montana Snowbowl Experience -D! Yes with a “d“. When I say “experienced” I mean it! 😂
We are working our way cross country and thought we’d take a northern route. We saw a ski Montana Snowbowl sign and decided to stay the night in Missoula and check it out in the morning. When we got there it was quiet and not a single person in front of us for rentals or the lift! We had beautiful views and blue skies as we were lifted up into the clouds. We hurried up and put on our GoPro and BAM! 🌨️ Just like typical mountain weather we were in a grey clouds and wind. The blue skies never returned the rest of the day, but we did have snow.
This mountain to us not-so-experience riders was a beast! Our legs burned so bad from breaking the whole time. I think at one point I considered using my board like a sled, but I didn’t let the mountain get the best of me! The trails were awesome! They were long and wide open. The mountain had lots of black diamonds and we didn’t dare try them. We used an outer trail that was easier. With the grey views, snow and breeze my husband swore a bear was going to run across the trail and snatch one of us! 🐻 Obviously, I’m typing this and we survived! It was a great experience and we are glad we stopped. Our legs hurt for days and I think it will be a few more years before we could enjoy that level of trails. The only easy beginner trail we saw had a rope tow and we haven’t been able to master that on our boards yet. If you love to ski I’d definitely stop here and checkout the trails!
Here’s some pics from our visit.
Hope you enjoyed the shots! What’s your favorite mountain ski or ride? ⛷️🏂
