Here’s a great trick to just melt away that sticky tape residue and remove stickers! I’ve mentioned this method in a few of my posts because it works so well. I learned this from my husband who is a helicopter mechanic and they use this application on their aircrafts! It’s worked on windows, doors, cabinets and even on this dresser makeover! Since, it’s been so helpful I thought I’d share it in its own post. All you need is some WD-40 and a soft plastic edge tool and the mess will disappear in no time!
*Sorry in advance for the dark pics I couldn’t get the lightening to adjust. We’re having some crazy winter freezes right now!
Let’s get started. Here’s the mess….
It’s time to take down all the decorations and we had used gorilla tape! It holds so well…but now you can see why! 🙄 And I have 10 of these spots to remove, yuck!Simple tools to the rescue! WD-40 and a plastic putty knife. 😀Simply spray the sticky residue/sticker/tape. Wait for a little bit so the spray can penetrate. By the time I sprayed all the spots (less than a minute) I was able to go over the tape spots with a soft plastic putty knife and the sticky reside just melted right off.A quick wipe down to remove the spray and you’re good to go! It’s that simple!!
